Fourth graders are learning all about the Genesee River. They created landscape paintings of the River view from Turning Point Park! You can view their amazing paintings on Artsonia.com. Now they are working on creating imaginary creatures that could live in or around the Genesse River. They will be making these out of clay!
Our first project in fourth grade this year has been creating self portraits! We have been learning about facial proportions and discovering different ways to create facial features! We will be creating a school mural of portraits when they are all complete! Check out our final portraits on Artsonia.com!

Third graders are working on creating hybrid animals with
student teacher Ms. Schneider. They are combining animals based on
characteristics that represent themselves.

Third graders are moving on to to learning about still lifes. They are creating musical instrument still life pencil drawings. They will be using 5 different types of pencils on the pencil hardness scale to shade their final product!
Students are creating acrylic landscape paintings on large artist boards. The paintings are landscapes of the different countries they are studying in their expedition work; Peru, Thailand, Afghanistan, Iraq and Sudan.
Below, students are working together to create a large landscape of Cambodia. This is a case study for their upcoming independent landscape paintings. Students will be studying reading across the world and will be portraying landscapes of the different countries they will study in art class.
